WSJ.com - Nokia, Intel Plan to Collaborate On Wireless Technology WiMAX: "WiMAX is expected to offer connection speeds comparable to the Wi-Fi networks now used in cafes, but blanket entire neighborhoods with Internet access. Though WiMAX so far has been used mainly as an alternative to fixed-line Internet connections, the two companies believe it will be suitable later this decade for providing high-speed Internet access to people using laptops and cellphones in parks, cafes and other public spaces in metropolitan areas."
